Expected Duration of Test: 1 hour
We will be conducting a live Generator Transfer Test on 2/7/2023 from 7:00 am pacific until 8:00 am pacific. During this time, we will be testing our systems to verify that the load is successfully transferred to our backup generators by the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS). Moreover, the generators will carry the load for an extended period of time. We are running this test to make sure we are fully prepared for an actual commercial power outage if one were to occur.
Customers should NOT be affected by this testing unless there is an issue with the backup systems in place. This would, of course, be an unforeseen issue as we are always committed to our continuing preventative maintenance of all our critical equipment. If there is an issue with our backup systems, we will immediately abort the testing and transfer it back to commercial power. Quinn Power Systems will be on-site during the maintenance to oversee the testing.
